To survive the system that was forced upon them.
I am not my ancestors
But
I feel their pain.

I have chosen to take that pain to transmute differently
Not into my body
Not into my performance
Not into an “identity” for others to interpret easily
But
Into my perceptions
Into my Integrity

Into my soul.
